Normal Operation
Under normal operation, when fog lamps are selected, the headlamp switch sends a ground signal to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit 1406 (YE/LG). The SJB then sends voltage to the fog lamp relay coil through circuit 1347 (DB/WH). The fog lamp relay coil is grounded through circuit 1205 (BK). The fog lamp relay is fed voltage through circuit 477 (LB/BK). When the relay is energized, voltage is sent to the fog lamps through circuit 1776 (TN/OG).
Possible Causes
- An open in circuit 1205 (BK), 1347 (DB/WH), 477 (LB/BK), 1776 (TN/OG) or 1406 (YE/LG)
- A short to ground in circuit 1347 (DB/WH)
- Lamp
- Fog lamp relay
- Headlamp switch
- Smart junction box (SJB)
