Normal Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) sends a pulse-width modulated (PWM) voltage to the dimmable components, based on input received from the instrument panel dimmer switch, through circuit 1417 (LG/RD) and 1418 (LB/WH). Ground for the illumination source is supplied through circuit 1205 (BK).
The SJB sets diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B2026 if circuit 1418 (LB/WH) is short to ground. The SJB sets DTC B2027 if circuit 1417 (LG/RD) is short to ground.
Possible Causes
- circuit 1205 (BK) open
- circuit 1417 (LG/RD) open
- circuit 1418 (LB/WH) open or short to ground
- adjustable pedals switch
- center stack (contains the hazard, traction control, and parking aid switches)
- analog clock
- decklid release switch
- headlamp switch
- manual climate control assembly
- shifter assembly
- SJB
