Hood: Adjustments
HOOD ALIGNMENTAlign
1. NOTE: Adjust hood without hood lock; remove hood lock if necessary.
Adjust hood in longitudinal direction.
1 Adjust hood so that the rear edges of the fender and the hood edge are aligned.
2 Check whether the gaps to the left and right fenders are parallel and correct if necessary.
2. Adjust hood at rear to height of fenders.
- Loosen bolts from hood hinge by about turn and adjust hood to fender height.
- Tighten the bolts.
3. NOTE: Rood must rest evenly on all four bump stop rubbers.
Adjust hood at front to height of fenders.
- Adjust hood with bump stop rubbers to height of fenders.
4. Adjust gaps to fenders at left and right.
- Gaps to fenders at left and right must be equal. The gaps can be equalized by holding the hood up with the hood stay and correcting by pressing to left or right.
5. NOTE: The gaps and edge alignment must be correct before the hood lock is installed.
Install hood lock.
- The hood lock must be installed so that the hood locks in without tension and the gaps at left and right are not changed.
