R: DTC B1891-Air Bag Tone Warn Indicator Ckt Short to Batt/Ign

Normal Operation
The air bag Electronic Crash Sensor (ECS) module monitors its connection to the Lighting Control Module (LCM) at pin 13. This connection is used to signal a chime if the air bag indicator is inoperative and another SRS fault exists. If the ECS detects a short to battery or ignition on the connection to the LCM, it will store a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1891 in memory.

Possible Causes
An air bag tone warning indicator circuit short to battery or ignition can be caused by:
- a short to battery or ignition on circuit 1083 (LB/BK).
- a damaged or inoperative LCM.
