DEFOG Relay Terminal Location







1. Disconnect the DEFOG relay. Measure resistance between relay terminal 86 and all other terminals. If any resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace relay. Otherwise, continue with test.







2. Using jumper wires, apply battery voltage to terminals 30 and 86. Measure voltage at terminal 87A. If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace relay. Otherwise, continue with test.







3. Using a jumper wire, apply ground to terminal 85. Measure the voltage at terminal 87. If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace relay. Otherwise, return to pinpoint tests. Pinpoint Tests
