C - Excessive Brake Pedal Effort

C1 - VERIFY CONDITION
- Turn ignition to "OFF".
- Operate the brake pedal.
- Is excessive effort required to operate the brake pedal?
YES - Go to C2.
NO - Vehicle is OK.

C2 - CHECK BRAKE PEDAL PIVOT

Brake Pedal/Push Rod:

- Remove the (A) cotter pin and (B) clevis pin from the (C) brake master cylinder push rod fork end bracket.
- Move the master cylinder push rod aside.
- Operate the brake pedal.
- Is excessive effort required to operate the brake pedal?
YES - Repair or replace the brake pedal and bracket assembly.
NO - Reconnect the brake master cylinder push rod. Perform the Power Brake Booster Component Test. Testing and Inspection
