BATTERY REMOVAL

WARNINGS:
^ Batteries normally produce explosive gases which can cause personal injury. Therefore, do not allow flames, sparks or lighted substances to come near the battery.
^ When charging or working near a battery, always shield your face and protect your eyes. Always provide ventilation.
^ When lifting a plastic cased battery, excessive pressure on the end walls could cause acid to spew through the vent caps, resulting in personal injury. Lift with a battery carrier or with your hands on opposite corners.

1. Disconnect negative then positive battery cables.
2. Lift battery cover off of battery.
3. Remove battery hold down bolt and clamp.
4. Remove battery.
5. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
6. Remove 4 battery tray bolts and remove tray.

ACTUATOR REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the two hydraulic anti-lock actuator electrical connectors.

NOTE: Plug each port to prevent brake fluid from spilling.

2. Disconnect the six hydraulic brake lines.
3. Remove the two bolts from hydraulic anti-lock actuator.
4. Remove the hydraulic anti-lock actuator.

INSTALLATION - To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Tighten battery tray bolts to 6.9-9.8 Nm (61-86 inch lbs.)
NOTE: Tighten hold down bolt to 3.0-5.8 Nm (27-52 inch lbs.)
NOTE: Tighten actuator bolts to 19-25 Nm (14-18 ft.lbs.)
NOTE: Tighten hydraulic brake lines to 13-22 Nm (10-16 inch lbs.)

^ Bleed the brake system.
