C1095-1 CHECK ABS PUMP MOTOR
- Disconnect connector C1057 from ABS Control Module.
- Connect the breakout box and adapter to connector C1057.
- Measure the voltage between Pin 2 and a known good ground.
- Is there a minimum of 10 volts?
YES - Go to C1095-4
No - Go to C1095-2

C1095-2 CHECK ABS PUMP MOTOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
- At power distribution box, carefully remove and inspect Fuse 13 (40A).
- Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between breakout box Pin 2 and a known good ground.
- Is resistance less than 10K ohms?
YES - Service Circuit 532 (O/Y) for a short to ground. Replace Fuse 13 (40A) with a new fuse. Restore vehicle. Retest system.
No - Go to C1095-3

C1095-3 CHECK ABS PUMP MOTOR SUPPLY FOR AN OPEN CIRCUIT
- Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between Fuse 13 (40A) and Pin 2 of breakout box.
- Is resistance less than 5 ohms?
YES - Go to C1095-4.
No - Service Circuit 532 (O/Y) for an open. Restore vehicle. Retest system.

C1095-4 CHECK ABS PUMP MOTOR GROUND STRAP CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

ABS Module/HCU Ground Strap:

- Verify ABS pump motor ground strap is secured to the body side rail. See illustration.
- using an ohmmeter, check resistance between the pump motor ground terminal and a known good ground.
- Is resistance less than 5 ohms?
YES - Go to C1095-5
No - Replace ground strap. Restore vehicle. Retest system.

C1095-5 CHECK ABS VALVE POWER CIRCUIT
- Using a voltmeter, measure the voltage between breakout box Pin 13 and a known good ground.
- Is there a minimum of 10 volts?
YES - DTC C1095 diagnosis complete. Restore vehicle. Retest system.
No - Go to C1095-6.

C1095-6 CHECK ABS VALVE POWER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- At power distribution box, carefully remove and inspect Fuse 18 (30A).
- Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between breakout box Pin 13 and a known good ground.
- Is resistance less than 10K ohms?
YES - Service Circuit 533(T/R) for short to ground. Replace Fuse 18 (30A) with a new fuse. Restore vehicle. Retest System.
No - Go to C1095-7.

C1095-7 CHECK ABS MODULE GROUND FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
- Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between breakout box Pin 1 and a known good ground.
- Is resistance less than 5 ohms?
YES - Go to C1095-8.
No - Service Circuit 570 (BK/W) for an open. Restore vehicle. Retest system.

C1095-8 CHECK ABS VALVE POWER FEED CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between Fuse 18 (30A) and Pin 13 of breakout box.
- Is resistance less than 5 ohms?
YES - Go to C1095-9.
No - Service Circuit 533 (T/R) for an open. Restore vehicle. Retest system.

C1095-9 TEST ABS PUMP MOTOR FUNCTION
NOTE: If hydraulic pump motor functions during Active Command Mode, do not allow hydraulic pump motor to operate for more than one second.
- Connect scan tool to DLC (C229).
- Select "ACTIVE COMMAND MODE".
- Select "PID PMP_MTR".
- Activate "PID ON".
- Does Hydraulic Pump motor function when commanded "On"?
YES - System operational. Clear DTC. Restore vehicle. Retest System.
No - Replace Anti-lock control Module. Restore vehicle. Retest System.
