Horn Relay: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove relay, located in power distribution box.
2. Using a jumper wire, connect one end to Terminal 85 of relay. Connect other end to a known good ground.
3. Using a second jumper wire, connect one end to Terminal 86 of relay.
4. Connect one lead of an ohmmeter to Terminal 30 of relay. Connect second lead to Terminal 87 of relay. Observe resistance.
5. Momentarily tap unconnected end of second jumper wire to battery power. An audible click should be heard and the resistance on ohmmeter should drop to zero.
6. If relay does not click and resistance does not drop to zero, replace relay.
