QT7 Connect New Generation Star Tester

- Verify that a failure has been detected in the ABS. (An illuminated anti-lock brake waring indicator in the KOER mode indicates a present failure. If the anti-lock brake warning indicator is not illuminated in KOER mode, but symptom exists, it may indicate a past or intermittent problem.)

- Key OFF.

- Access the data link connector located in the engine compartment.

- NOTE: Connect the Rotunda New Generation Star (NGS) Tester 007-00500 to the data link connector.

- Key ON.

- Turn the NGS Tester ON.

- Select the appropriate vehicle model and year.

- Select ABS diagnostics from the NGS Tester menus.

- Is the NGS Tester connected properly?

YES -- Proceed to QT8, ABS Diagnostic Trouble Code Retrieval. QT8 Perform ABS Diagnostic Trouble Code Retrieval

NO -- Re-attempt this step. Service any faults if necessary.
