Parking Brake System: Adjustments
Adjusting Brake Cable:
1. Make sure parking brake control is fully released.
2. Place transaxle in neutral. Raise vehicle and support rear suspension with jackstands.
3. Using Rotunda Cable Tension Gauge 021-00018 or equivalent, tighten adjusting nut against rear parking brake cable adjuster, until cable tension (with control released) is 24-35 Newtons (18-26 lb).
4. Stroke parking brake control fully and release.
5. Verify cable tension is still within specification and there is no drag on rear brakes.
6. Lower vehicle and check operation of parking brake.
