FA8 - Check VAF Meter Ground

^ Key "OFF".

^ Remove the fuel pump relay.

FA8 Check VAF Meter Ground:

^ Access Volume Air Flow (VAF) meter door.

^ Measure the resistance between the fuel pump relay connector "LG" wire and ground while moving the door in the VAF meter.

^ Leave the fuel pump relay test connector open.

^ With VAF door closed you should obtain a reading of greater than 10,000 ohms.

^ With VAF door open you should obtain a reading of less than 5 ohms.

^ Are the resistances OK?

YES -- Service the "BK/PK" wire between the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump.

NO -- Go to FA9. FA9 - Check VAF Fuel Pump Switch
