AIS18 - Check For Vacuum at IMRC Actuator Inlet Port

^ Disconnect vacuum harness at both IMRC actuator inlet port(s).

^ Install a vacuum gauge at one of the IMRC actuator vacuum harness connectors.

^ Start the engine and note vacuum gauge reading with the engine at idle.

^ Repeat with vacuum gauge installed on the other IMRC actuator vacuum harness connector.

^ Is manifold vacuum present?

YES -- IMRC housing assembly does not respond to applied vacuum signal. Turn engine off. Go to AIS21 for IMRC housing assembly bench testing. AIS21 - IMRC Housing Assembly Bench Test-Actuator Check

NO -- Service vacuum harness between IMRC solenoid and IMRC actuators. Return to AIS13 after service to confirm proper system function. AIS13 - Check Both Lt and Rt Bank IMRC Function at Idle
