AIS16 - Check For Vacuum Signal at IMRC Actuator Inlet Port

^ Disconnect vacuum harness at both Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) actuator inlet ports.

^ Install a vacuum gauge at one of the IMRC actuator vacuum harness connectors.

^ Start the engine and note vacuum gauge reading as engine rpm is increased to 3500 rpm.

^ Repeat with vacuum gauge installed on the other IMRC actuator vacuum harness connector.

^ Did the gauge show vacuum at low rpm and no vacuum at high rpm?

YES -- IMRC vacuum and electrical system is functioning correctly, but IMRC housing assembly does not respond correctly to applied vacuum signal. Turn engine off. Go to AIS21 for IMRC housing assembly bench testing. AIS21 - IMRC Housing Assembly Bench Test-Actuator Check

NO -- Service vacuum harness between IMRC solenoid and IMRC actuator. Return to AIS13 after service to confirm proper system function. AIS13 - Check Both Lt and Rt Bank IMRC Function at Idle
