KF5 - Check LFC/HFC Circuit For Shorts to Power

- Key "ON".

- Breakout box installed, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) disconnected.

- Low Fan Control (LFC) or High Fan Control (HFC) relay disconnected.

- Measure voltage between applicable test pin (HFC or LFC) at the breakout box and battery negative post.

- Is voltage less than 1.0 volts?

Yes -- Go to KF6. KF6 - Check LFC/HFC Circuit For Short to Ground

No -- Service short circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

If Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is still present, replace PCM.
