AC9 - Check PIP Signal

- Key "OFF".

- Breakout box installed, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) disconnected.

- Reconnect Ignition Control Module (ICM).

- Measure voltage between test pin 56 and test pin 16 at breakout box.

- Crank engine, record reading.

- Is voltage between 3.0 and 7.0 volts?

Yes -- Go to AC10. AC10 - Isolate Shorts In PCM

No -- Replace ICM. Remove breakout box. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
