A3 - Check For Short to Ground

- Key OFF.

- Locate and disconnect the passive restraint control module connectors, instrument cluster connectors, and shift lock actuator connector.

- Locate and disconnect the 18-pin and 15-pin interior fuse junction panel connectors.

- Measure the resistance between the "Y" wire and/or the "BK/Y" wire between the interior fuse junction panel connector(s) and ground.

- Are the resistance(s) less than 5 ohms?

YES -- Service the wire(s) in question.

NO -- Go to A4. A4 - Check Control Module Battery/Ignition Supply
