KA3 - Check EVR Solenoid Valve Operation

- Key "ON", engine "OFF".

- Disconnect both source port and output port vacuum hoses at the EVR solenoid.

- Install a vacuum pump at the source port and a vacuum gauge at the output port of the EVR solenoid.

- Maintain a minimum vacuum of 20.2 kPa (6 in-Hg) at the solenoid source port.

- Cycle the solenoid state by depressing and releasing the throttle several times.

- Key "OFF".

- Does the vacuum gauge needle show that the vacuum at the output port cycles?

Yes -- Remove jumper wire. Remove vacuum pump and vacuum gauge. Reconnect output port vacuum hose. Go to KA4. KA4 - Check Vacuum Hose From the EVR Solenoid to Throttle Body

No -- Remove jumper wire. Remove vacuum pump and vacuum gauge. Remove EVR solenoid. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
