Inspection and Verification (Start Here)

1. Visually inspect the components of the shift control linkage and the shift-lock system.
2. Inspect for:
a. Damaged or misadjusted selector lever cable.
b. Damaged ignition key cylinder.
c. Blown fuse(s).
d. Damaged shift-lock solenoid.
e. Damaged wiring harness.
f. Loose or corroded connections.
3. If problem not found go to Symptom Charts. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
