TG120 - Continuous Memory DTCs 0750 and 0755
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 0750 indicates a SS1 malfunction.
DTC 0755 indicates a SS2 malfunction.
Possible Causes:
- Intermittent harness continuity.
- Damaged shift solenoid.
- Damaged harness connector.
- Damaged Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector pins.
- Key Off.
- Inspect shift solenoid wires between transmission and PCM. Service as necessary.
- Disconnect PCM. Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.
- Install breakout box, connect PCM.
- Connect DVOM to Test Pins as indicated below:
- For DTC 0750: Connect one DVOM test lead to Test Pin 27 (SS1 SIG) and the other to Test Pin 71 (VPWR).
- For DTC 0755: Connect one DVOM test lead to Test Pin 1 (SS2 SIG) and the other to Test Pin 71 (VPWR).
- Key On, Engine Off.
- Observe DVOM display for indication of a fault while performing the following:
- Shake, wiggle and bend the harness of the shift solenoid.
- Lightly tap on the shift solenoid connector to simulate a road shock.
NOTE: A fault is indicated by a sudden voltage change.
- Is a fault indicated?
YES -- ISOLATE fault and SERVICE as necessary. Complete PCM reset to clear DTCs. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Rerun drive cycle test step TG90 to verify the repair. If the concern still exists, REFER to Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle for possible internal transmission damage. TG90 - Perform Drive Cycle Test
NO -- COMPLETE PCM reset to clear DTCs. GO to Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle for possible internal transmission damage.
