TG110 - Continuous Memory DTCs 0741, 0743,1741 and 1744
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 0741 indicates a TCC solenoid performance error. DTC 0743 indicates a TCC solenoid electrical fault present. DTC 1741 indicates a TCC solenoid control error. DTC 1744 indicates a TCC system performance error.
Possible Causes:
- Damaged harness connector.
- Intermittent harness continuity.
- Damaged TCC solenoid.
- Worn friction elements.
- Key Off.
- Disconnect PCM. Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.
- Install breakout box, connect PCM.
- Connect one DVOM test lead to Test Pin 82 (TCC SIG) and the other test lead to Test Pin 71 (VPWR).
- Key On, Engine Off.
- Observe DVOM display for indication of a fault while performing the following:
- Shake wiggle and bend the harness of the TCC.
- Lightly tap on the TCC connector to simulate a road shock.
NOTE: A fault is indicated by a sudden voltage change.
- Is a fault indicated?
YES -- ISOLATE fault and SERVICE as necessary. Complete PCM reset to clear DTCs. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Rerun drive cycle test step TG90 to verify the repair. TG90 - Perform Drive Cycle Test
If the concern still exists, REFER to Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle for possible internal transmission damaged.
NO -- COMPLETE PCM reset to clear DTCs. GO to Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle for possible internal transmission damage.
