TE1 - KOEO and KOER DTC 0712: Attempt to Induce Opposite
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 0712 indicates that Self-Test has detected a TFT sensor circuit input below the minimum acceptable voltage.
Possible Causes:
- Fluid level not to specification.
- Damaged TFT sensor.
- Short to GND or SIG RTN in TFT SIG harness circuit.
- Damaged PCM.
- Key Off.
- Disconnect transmission connector. Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.
- Activate Key On Engine Off (KOEO) and Key On Engine Running (KOER) Self-Tests (transmission connector remains disconnected).
- Is DTC 0713 present?
NOTE: Disregard any other DTCs generated at this time.
YES -- The fault that produced DTC 0712 is not within the TFT harness circuits or the PCM. REFER to Transmission and Drivetrain for TFT sensor service.
NO -- The opposite condition could not be induced. GO to TE2. TE2 - Check For VREF At Throttle Position Sensor
