MC4 - Check Spout at ICM - KOER

- Key Off.

- DVOM on 40 volt AC scale.

- Start engine and measure voltage between J21 (EI diagnostic harness SPOUT detector) and (-)J7 (B-) at breakout box.

- Is AC voltage reading greater than 5.0 volts?

YES -- REPLACE ICM. SPOUT input to ICM is OK, but no spark advance is present. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes

NO -- SPOUT fault. GO to MC5. MC5 - Check For Spout Short In ICM - Spout Fault
