JC61 - Check For C2 Short Low - ICM and Coil Disconnected

- Key Off.

- Disconnect ICM from vehicle harness.

- DVOM on 20K ohm scale.

- Measure resistance between J6 (RC2C) and J7 (B-) at breakout box.

- Is resistance reading greater than 10K ohms?

YES -- REPLACE ICM. C2 is shorted low. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes

NO -- CHECK connectors, SERVICE or REPLACE harness. C2 is shorted low. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
