JC40 - Check C3 at Coil Connector While Cranking

- Connect EI diagnostic harness positive lead to battery.

- Connect an incandescent test lamp between J1 (B+) and J10 (LC3C).

- Crank engine.

- Does lamp blink consistently and brightly (one blink per engine revolution?

YES -- GO to JC41. JC41 - Check C4 at Coil Connector While Cranking

NO -- REPLACE ICM. C3 open. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
