JA31 - Check For Vehicle Start - Diagnostic Harness Installed

WARNING: NEVER CONNECT THE PCM TO THE EEC BREAKOUT BOX WHEN PERFORMING EI DIAGNOSTICS.

- Key Off.

- Install EI diagnostic harness to breakout box and the ICM and vehicle harness (Rotunda 007-00059 or equivalent). Do not connect CKP sensor tee or coil tee.

- Use EI (High Data Rate) 8 overlay.

- Connect EI diagnostic harness negative lead to battery, leave positive lead disconnected.

- Set EI diagnostic harness box type switch to "8" cylinder position.

- Will vehicle start and run?

YES -- Go to JA51. JA51 - Check CKP Sensor Resistance - CKP Circuit Fault

NO -- Go to JA32. JA32 - Check PWR GND to ICM - Key Off
