HV7 - Check For Manifold Vacuum to CANP Solenoid

- Key Off.

- Vacuum hose disconnected from manifold vacuum side of CANP solenoid.

- Start engine.

- Place thumb on open end of vacuum hose at CANP solenoid.

- Is vacuum present at the engine vacuum hose to CANP solenoid?

YES -- Evaporative Emission System is OK. RECONNECT all components. DRIVE vehicle. If symptom is still present, RETURN to Symptom Flow Charts. Testing and Inspection

NO -- CHECK vacuum hose to engine from CANP solenoid for proper routing, kinks, leaks or blockage. If OK, REFER to Engine for conditions affecting engine vacuum.
