HV4 - Check CANP For Vacuum Leaks - Closed Vacuum Position



- Key On, Engine Off.

- CANP solenoid disconnected.

- Disconnect vacuum hose at CANP solenoid on the manifold vacuum side of the CANP solenoid.

- Apply 16 inHg (53 kPa) of vacuum to the manifold vacuum side of the CANP solenoid.

- Does the CANP solenoid hold vacuum for 20 seconds?

YES -- LEAVE the vacuum pump connected. Go to HV5. HV5 - Check CANP Mechanical Operation - Open Vacuum Position

NO -- REPLACE CANP solenoid. Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes
