HV13 - Check CANP SIG Circuit For Short to VPWR
- Key Off.
- CANP disconnected.
- Breakout box installed, PCM disconnected.
- Scan Tool disconnected from DLC.
- Measure the resistance between Test Pin 67 (CANP SIG) and Test Pins 71 or 97 (VPWR) at the breakout box.
- Is each resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
YES -- CANP SIG is either shorted to VPWR, PWR GND or SIG RTN in the PCM. REPLACE PCM. REMOVE breakout box and Scan Tool. RECONNECT all components. Complete PCM reset to clear DTCs. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes
NO -- SERVICE short to VPWR in the CANP harness circuit. REMOVE breakout box and scan tool. RECONNECT all components. Complete PCM reset to clear DTCs. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
