FD8 - Check For Short to Power In Shiftlock Actuator

- Key Off.

- PCM disconnected.

- Disconnect shiftlock actuator, cruise control module and ABS module (if equipped) to isolate brake switch wiring.

- Key On, Engine Off.

- Are stoplamps still On?

YES -- SERVICE short to power in BOO/Stoplamp circuit. RECONNECT PCM, brake switch and other accessories. Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes

NO -- SERVICE short in accessories (i.e., shiftlock actuator, ABS module. etc.). RECONNECT all components. Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes
