DA90 - DTCs 0112, 1112, 0113, 0117, 1117 or 0118



Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) 0112, 1112 or 0113 (IAT) and 0117, 1117 or 0118 (ECT) that are not received during On-Demand Self-Test, but are accessible during the monitor code retrieval may be intermittent and should be diagnosed as follows:

Possible causes:
- Damaged harness.
- Damaged harness connector.
- Damaged IAT or ECT sensor.
- Low coolant (ECT).
- Damaged PCM.

- Key Off.

- Scan Tool connected.

- Key On.

- Monitor the ECT or IAT PID.

- While observing the appropriate PID, perform the following:
- Tap on the sensor to simulate road shock.
- Wiggle the sensor connector.

- Is there any large change In the temperature reading?

YES -- DISCONNECT and INSPECT connectors. If OK, REPLACE the sensor. Complete PCM reset to clear DTCs. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes

For Continuous DTCs 1112 and 1117, COMPLETE Comprehensive Component Monitor Drive Cycle. Monitors, Trips, Drive Cycles and Readiness Codes

NO -- Go to DA91. DA91 - Check EEC-V Wiring Harness
