FA9 - Check VAF Fuel Pump Switch

^ Key "OFF".

^ Disconnect the Volume Air Flow (VAF) meter wire harness connector.

^ Measure the resistance between the "GN/W" and "BK" terminals on the VAF meter while moving the VAF meter door. (Match the wire colors with the corresponding VAF terminals.)

^ With VAF door closed, you should obtain a reading of greater than 10,000 ohms.

^ With VAF door open, you should obtain a reading of less than 5 ohms.

^ Are the resistances OK?

YES -- Service the VAF "BK" wire, or the wire from the fuel pump relay to the VAF.

NO -- Replace the VAF meter.
