Component Tests and General Diagnostics

NOTE: Before performing tests, the Pre-Test Checks must be performed as outlined. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

To properly conduct Quick Test Checks an EEC-IV breakout box No. 014-00322, anti-lock harness adapter No. T90P-50-ALA or equivalent and a digital volt/ohmmeter tool No. 007-00001 or equivalent must be used.
This group of tests will lead to specific diagnostic Pinpoint Tests that will, in most cases, identify the fault/malfunction.
If fault/malfunction is not determined by the Quick Test procedure, use the Diagnostic Lamp Symptom Chart to identify the proper diagnostic procedure to be conducted.
Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

Refer to anti-lock quick check for item to be tested, ignition switch mode position, measurement taken between terminal pin numbers, tester scale/range, volt/ohm specifications and the specific pinpoint test to correct the malfunction.
