Test 3, Ignition Coil Primary Resistance
Coil Tests:
Procedure
1. With ignition ``Off,'' disconnect ignition coil connector. Inspect connector for dirt and corrosion.
2. Using a suitable ohmmeter, measure resistance between coil positive to negative terminals.
3. If reading is 0.3---1.0 ohm, coil is satisfactory. Proceed to test 4. Test 4, Ignition Coil Secondary Resistance
4. If reading is less than 0.3 ohm or more than 1.0 ohm, replace coil.
