Converting Mount At Front of Front Seat Cushion

Preliminary work:
Front seat cushion removed. Remove/Install Front Seat Cushion and Backrest Cushion






Installation note
As of vehicle ident. end no.074890 (approx. 11/92) the front seat cushion mount was changed from a plug type to a screwed connection.






Only the modified parts will be available as replacement parts in the future. When replacing the seat cushion frame or mounting budge (connection) on previous vehicles install the modified mount.

Conversion
1 Unhook seat cushion cover all the way around.
2 Remove rubberized fiber matting with cover from seat cushion frame.






3 Remove previous plug-in clips (10) and sockets (9) on left and right sides of seat cushion frame (arrows).






4 Rivet modified brace (11) on left and right with blind rivets (4 each) instead of plug-in clips (10) to seat cushion frame (6).
5 Install rubberized fiber matting and seat cushion cover.






6 Remove previous mounting bridge (7) at front of seat frame.






7 Install modified mounting bridge (8) with plug-in clip nuts on the left and right at the front of the seat frame. Observe installation position!
8 Hook cover (apron) onto mounting bridge (8).






Illustrated with cushion frame removed.

9 Install front seat cushion and fasten at front with screws (2 each).
