Transmission Range Recognition Switch
LOCATION
- The transmission range recognition switch is located in the floor selector
TASK
- To convey the respective position of the selector lever and program selector switch S/W to the transmission control module (N15/3)
DESIGN
- The transmission range recognition switch consists of the selector range contacts for all gears program selector switch S/W reverse lamp switch and ten LEDs (70) for the basic illumination and individual position display.
FUNCTION
- The selector lever positions are transmitted to the transmission range recognition switch by a pin which is rigidly connected to the shift shaft and processed into a position signal. This signal is passed on to the transmission control module (N15/3).
