Holding Pressure Shift Valve

LOCATION
- A holding pressure shift valve is part of each shift group. The holding pressure shift valves 1-2/4-5 and 2-3 are installed in the slide housing and the holding pressure shift valve 3-4 is installed in valve housing.

TASK
- To assign the operating pressure to a shift Group actuator.

FUNCTION
- The holding pressure shift valve is switched by the pressures applied to the end face of the actuators and a spring. It assigns the operating pressure to the actuator at the higher pressure (taking into account the spring force and effective area). The other shift group actuator is then depressurized. The valve only switches over during the shift phase and only at a specific pressure ratio of overlap pressure (p-U) to shift pressure (p-S).
