Procedures






REMOVAL
1. Remove valves.
2. Clean valves and refer to the specification table to carry out a visual inspection
Valve with scorched valve disk, with insufficient height (h) of valve disk or with used or scored valve stem should be replaced

Valve Specification Table
Valve Disk Height (h):
Exhaust: 1.00-1.20 mm
Inlet: 1.00-1.20 mm
Valve Seat Angle (a):
Exhaust: 44°45'-45°
Inlet: 44°45'-45°
Valve Seat Width:
Exhaust: 1.90 mm
Inlet: 1.90 mm
Concentricity Of Valve Seat To Valve Stem:
Exhaust: ≤0.30 mm
Inlet: ≤0.30 mm

3. Measure concentricity at valve stem and valve seat
If necessary, replace valve
Disposing of sodium-filled valves, refer to Disposing Of Sodium Filled Valves. Service Precautions
4. Machine valve seat
Pay attention to operating instructions of the machining equipment and setting angles
5. Measure runout at valve stem and valve seat once again
If runout is excessive or height (h) insufficient, replace valve
6. Insert valve and inspect for leaks

INSTALLATION
- Install in the reverse order
