Pre-combustion Chamber: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
- Remove cylinder head cover (8)
- Remove bushes of shaft cover (9)
- Remove, replace O-rings.
- If necessary, rotate engine at crankshaft to remove the bushes of the shaft cover.
- Remove injection nozzles (18)
- Remove glow plugs (19)
- Remove threaded ring of prechamber (21,01)
- Unscrew with serrated wrench
- Pre-chamber (21,01)
- Knock out with impact extractor (Slide Hammer)
- Inspect Pre-chamber. Testing and Inspection

INSTALLATION
- Reverse procedures to install, noting the following:
- Ensure pre-chamber has correct code.
Pre-chamber code for engine 606 (USA Models) is 606/03
- Insert prechamber (23) so that lug on collar of prechamber (arrow) is resting against recess of cylinder head.
- Oil threaded ring before installing
- Tighten threaded ring for prechamber in cylinder head to: Nm 130
