Starter Interlock Contact
LOCATION
- The starter interlock contact is located in the supporting body of the electrical control unit and is rigidly connected to the printed conductors.
TASK
- To recognize the selector valve or selector lever position P and N.
FUNCTION
- In selector lever positions P and N the starter interlock contact is operated by a cam tack which is located on the detent plate. As a result the permanent magnet (47) is moved away from the Reed contact (48). The Reed contact (48) is opened. The transmission control module receives an electric signal and actuates the starter lock-out relay. This closes the circuit to the starter in selector lever positions P and N via the starter interlock contact.
