Harsh Up-Shift When Decelerating
Harsh Up-Shift when Decelerating (overrun upshift)
Vehicle with diesel engine
Cause/remedy:
Vacuum build-up too slow when decelerating.
1. Disconnect vacuum auxiliaries from the system on the transmission side.
2. Check vacuum-controlled emission-relevant components.
3. Check output of vacuum pump and vacuum line routing.
4. Install a 0.6 mm dia. restrictor in the line to the VCV connection on the vacuum transducer. Part No.601 078 00 23
Note:
Only install restrictor on natural aspirated diesel engine.
