Harsh Gearshift Jerks During Gear Change

Cause/remedy:

1. Check adjustment of control pressure cable.

2. Check vacuum line and connection points for leaks. On vehicles with diesel engines, check vacuum control valve and emission-relevant parts. (If necessary, disconnect vacuum auxiliaries).

3. Check modulating pressure, adjust if necessary.

4. Engine coolant can enter the transmission via the transmission oil cooler. With a high proportion of engine coolant in the transmission, the automatic transmission fluid turns to white.
Replace all friction linings in transmission1 replace transmission if necessary.

Note: Cooler must be replaced at the same time.
