Sunroof / Moonroof Clutch: Adjustments

Checking

1 Open sun roof by half.






2 Open cover above emergency crank drive and fit 16 mm wrench socket onto emergency crank drive.






3 Fit torque wrench onto wrench socket and hold in place.

4 Have a second mechanic operate sun roof switch and read off torque. Nominal value 6-7 Nm.

5 Pull off wrench socket and close opening above emergency crank drive.


Adjustment






1 Open cover above emergency crank drive.

2 Pull off plastic cap for emergency crank drive and screw hex nut underneath tighter to increase torque, and slacken to release torque.


NOTE: Hold the shaft of the gear unit by means of an open-end wrench (6 mm) at the place provided for this purpose to make sure that the shaft will not rotate at the same time.


3 Turn hex nut max. by 60°, then push on plastic cap and check torque, readjust if required.

Attention
Make sure that slip clutch is not locked.


4 Close opening above emergency crank drive.
