No Kick-down Down Shifts

Cause/remedy:

1. Check control pressure cable, adjust if necessary.
(The travel of the control pressure cable from closed throttle position to wide open throttle must be at least 26 mm).

2. Check throttle control
(Apply full throttle in the vehicle and check in the engine compartment that the throttle valve makes contact with the wide open throttle stop. correct if necessary).

3. Remove solenoid valve. When removed, connect to power supply and check function. replace if necessary.

4. Check kick-down regulating valve (40) in the shift valve body for movement.
