Fuel Door Release Cable: Service and Repair

FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. To remove the fuel-filler lid opener, remove the following procedure:

- 5 door

- Remove the hole cover on the trunk side trim. (RH)





- 4 door

- Remove the trunk end trim Trunk End Trim Removal/Installation
- Slightly bend back the trunk side trim. (RH)

2. To remove the fuel-filler lid opener lever, remove the following part:.
a. Front scuff plate (Driver's side) Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation

3. When removing the fuel-filler lid opener cable, perform the following procedure:
a. Remove the following parts:
i. Rear seat Rear Seat Removal/Installation

ii. Rear scuff plate (Driver's side) Rear Scuff Plate Removal/Installation

iii. Tire house trim (Driver's side) Tire House Trim Removal/Installation

iv. B-pillar lower trim (Driver's side) B-Pillar Lower Trim Removal/Installation

b. Partially peel back the floor covering so that the fuel-filler lid opener cable can be removed.

c. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable from clips A.

4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
