Front Shock Absorber (w/ Air Suspension)





SUSPENSION: FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER (w/ Air Suspension): INSPECTION

1. INSPECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Extend the pneumatic cylinder with front shock absorber and check that it is as described below.





OK:

While extending the cylinder at a constant speed, the load is constant for each stroke and there is no abnormal feedback or noises. Also, the cylinder returns at a constant speed when extended.

If an abnormality is found, replace the pneumatic cylinder with front shock absorber with a new one.

NOTICE:
When extending the pneumatic cylinder with front shock absorber LH, do not block the air inlet/outlet opening.

(b) While adjusting the damping force control rod to hard, semihard, medium, soft and semisoft, inspect the pneumatic cylinder with front shock absorber assembly by compressing and extending it.





OK:

There is a difference in the damping force.
