Removal





1UR-FSE EMISSION CONTROL: CANISTER: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. REMOVE FLOOR NO. 1 UNDER COVER

(a) Remove the 2 hole plugs.

(b) Remove the 5 nuts, 5 clips and under cover.





4. REMOVE CANISTER

(a) Disconnect the air inlet line tube (leak detection pump) and vent line tube.





(1) Pinch the retainer and then raise it.

NOTICE:





* Do not use any tools in this procedure.
* Check for any dirt and foreign matter contamination in and around the tube connector. Clean if necessary. Foreign matter may damage the O-ring or cause leaks in the seal between the valve and connector.
* Do not allow any scratches or foreign matter on the parts when disconnecting the tube.
* Do not forcibly bend, twist or turn the nylon tube.
* Protect the disconnected part by covering it with a plastic bag after disconnecting the tube.
* If the tube connector and pipe are stuck, push and pull to release them.

(b) Disconnect the purge line hose from the canister.

(c) Disconnect the connector (leak detection pump).





(d) Loosen the 2 plastic nuts, and then remove the 4 bolts and canister.





(e) Detach the 2 clamps.





(f) Disconnect the purge line hose from the canister.
