DESCRIPTION
* When the ECM detects a cruise control main switch signal, it sends it to the combination meter through CAN communication. Then the CRUISE main indicator light turns on.
* The CRUISE main indicator light circuit uses CAN communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (CRUISE MAIN INDICATOR LIGHT)
(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the CRUISE main indicator light illuminates.
Combination Meter
OK:
CRUISE main indicator light turns on / turns off.
NG -- GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM Problem Symptoms Table
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CRUISE MAIN INDICATOR LIGHT)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the CRUISE main indicator light.

OK:
When cruise control main switch operation is performed, the result will be the same as above.
NG -- REPLACE ECM Removal
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table
