Removal

2GR-FSE INTAKE / EXHAUST: INTAKE MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly Removal.

2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

4. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

Service Precautions.

5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE Removal

7. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY Removal

8. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector and 2 fuel vapor feed hoses.





(b) Remove the bolt and No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.

(c) Disconnect the ventilation hose, union to check valve hose and water by-pass hose.





(d) Disconnect the 4 wire harness clamps.





(e) Remove the bolt and water hose joint.





(f) Remove the bolt and separate the surge tank stay from the intake air surge tank assembly.





(g) Remove the 2 nuts from the intake air surge tank assembly.





(h) Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 6 bolts.

(i) Remove the intake air surge tank assembly and gasket.

9. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

(a) Remove the 4 bolts, 4 nuts, intake manifold and 2 gaskets.
