PROPELLER SHAFT: PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FSE 4WD): REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
Removal
2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
(a) Remove the 4 nuts and front No. 1 floor heat insulator.
3. REMOVE OUTSIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH
(a) Remove the 4 nuts and outside air guide plate RH.
4. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY
(a) Put matchmarks on the differential companion flange, flexible coupling and propeller shaft assembly.

(b) Remove the 3 bolts, 3 washers and 3 nuts.
NOTICE:
The propeller shaft and flexible coupling should not be separated.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 center support bearing washers and No. 1center support bearing assembly.
HINT
Some vehicles are not equipped with center support bearing washers.
(d) Pull the propeller shaft outward from the rear of the vehicle.
NOTICE:
The intermediate shaft and propeller shaft should not be separated.
(e) Insert SST in the transmission to prevent oil leakage.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the oil seal.
* When removing the propeller shaft assembly, do not apply excessive force to the universal joint.
